The Finnish Cultural Institute in Denmark - 30th anniversary

December 2021 marks The Finnish Cultural Institute in Denmark’s 30th jubilee! The Institute was founded on the 18th of December 1991. To celebrate this occasion a work by Irene Suosalo was commissioned, called “Hexagon”. Suosalo is a Helsinki based video artist. 

In addition to doing video art Suosalo is also an acclaimed VJ (visual jockey) in the clubbing scene in Helsinki. As a VJ Suosalo works much like a DJ, but mixes video rather than music, performing with with her works at galleries, night clubs and concerts stages. This festive spirit is well translated into a GIF animation, honoring the 30th anniversary of The Finnish Cultural Institute in Denmark!
